Reinickendorf

The district of Reinickendorf is located in the northwest of the federal capital and is one of twelve Berlin boroughs or districts. Apart from the abundant supply of lakes and forests the district is impressive both from the point of view of its good infrastructure, attractive business locations, small industrial and occupational structures, and good transport links as well as the surrounding Brandenburg and the Berlin City. Important location amenities are Tegel airport and direct connection to the Berlin-Hamburg motorway.

Reinickendorf is a traditional industrial region, which around the turn of the century was molded by such big names as Borsig. Its development is also a reflection of the change to an industrial and service society. In its harmony of tradition and innovation the district displays an outstanding development. Even today, the location is equally characterized by global corporations such as Boris, Motorola, Oracle or Otis as by innovative medium-sized companies or craftsmen.
