Technologie- und Innovationspark Berlin,
13355 Berlin-Wedding
Its huge halls and factory buildings make this second largest industrial complex of ORCO-GSG one of the most important and impressive production plants in Berlin. There is a good reason why it is a listed complex. Between 1895 and 1941 the building, located in the district Wedding, was constructed by AEG for manufacturing purposes. The twelve buildings were renovated after GSG took them over in 1985. This striking property does not only shine with its Wilhelminian style facade. It has a very interesting interior, as well: attractive and modern office and commercial rooms as well as production facilities of 30 to more than 1,000 sqm were built on 100,000sqm.
Two of the special features of this industrial complex are the “Technology and Innovations Park Berlin” (TIB), which was founded in 1985 by the Berlin Senate and the Technical University, and the “Innovations and Founders Center Berlin” (BIG): institutions that offer ideal starting conditions for companies with innovative and talent-oriented ideas.

Description
Location
Around 1900, AEG built a testing tunnel for underground railways under this industrial complex now owned by ORCO-GSG. Today, similar new innovations are thought-out in the building, which was constructed from 1895 and 1941 in the Mitte district in close proximity to Prenzlauer Berg.
Enterior - Services
Freight, passenger and combination elevators are available for all commercial units. In BIG II/House 12, each floor has several separate ladies' and gents' rooms, some of them further equipped with showers. In the other buildings and floors, respectively, sanitary facilities, staff kitchens and in some parts showers are within the rental units for the most part. The BIG II has structured data wiring for computer networks. Here, and if required in Houses 10 and 26, internet access is available.
Security and a doorman service around the clock ensure the security of the office floors, workshops and commercial rooms.
Parking places can, depending on capacity, be rented. A nice extra are conference rooms, a staff canteen as well as a restaurant with Italian and international cuisine.
Business & Neighborhood
Since the mid-80's, companies from the fields of science, research and high-tech lucratively meet on the premises of this complex. Germany's first founder center, the “Innovations and Founder Center Berlin” (BIG I) opened in 1983 under the leadership of the Technical University in the neighbouring Ackerstraße. An addition to the successful BIG I, the BIG II was built in 1985 within the “technology and Innovations Park Berlin” (TIB). Apart from the BIG and TIB a number of research facilities can be found on the premises – about 14 institutes of the Technical University Berlin, the Humboldt University and the Fraunhofer Society.
