GSG-HOF Alexandrinenstraße,
10969 Berlin-Kreuzberg
The love for detail that the famous architect duo Messel and Altgeld had is still visible today. They constructed this industrial complex in Berlin-Kreuzberg in 1895 for the iron and steel production company Archimedes AG – the door and window profiles of this yellow clinker building are decorated with intricately designed sheathings in Neo-Renaissance style. Until 1923 the complex was extended by further buildings. In the years 1987 and 2002 the listed ensemble of buildings was finally renovated.
Today, this yard is counted among the most attractive inner-city industrial complexes of ORCO-GSG. This is also the reason for the colourful mix of companies that have set- up business in the 30 industrial units with sizes ranging from 80 to 280sqm. The multi-functional offices, studios, production facilities and workshops are valued by a fashion designer, mail order companies, a tea and spices shipping company, but also by lawyers, software companies and a pump manufacturer, among others.
